NEW HORIZONS AMATEUR RADIO CLUB HISTORY

The Victoria New Horizons Amateur Radio Club was founded on Armistice day 1977. Equipment funding was provided by the Department of Health & Welfare through the "New Horizons Program".

Regular membership is open to all RETIRED persons holding a valid Certificate of Proficiency in Amateur Radio.

Our repeater, VE7RSR, is a Motorola Micor unit presently located on Mount McDonald in the vicinity of Goldstream Park on the outskirts of Victoria. It transmits on 145.41 Mhz and receives on 144.81 Mhz.

The club was incorporated under the Societies Act of the province of British Columbia on the 7th of July, 1980.
